En este último libro de la trilogía las piezas ya están sobre el tablero y solo falta la jugada maestra. La autora ha ido preparándolo todo durante tres libros y la resolución del conflicto hace que todo encaje de manera muy orgánica. Aunque hay giros de guion bastante inesperados, no parecen apresurados o metidos con calzador; está todo muy bien hecho. Y, como en los dos libros anteriores, la tensión y la relación de los protagonistas está tan bien construida que no podría haberse desarrollado de otra forma.
